Management Team

Avery R. Schott


Avery has been involved in the oil and gas industry since 1980. From 1980 to 1995, Avery worked on the construction side, where he worked his way from laborer to superintendent. From 1995 to 2008, Avery was contracted by Northern Natural Gas (NNG) to provide oversight and scheduling for the inspection teams on main line, facilities, and maintenance project in NNG's Northern Region. Today, Avery continues his professional engagement in the energy industry by supporting our client's projects in the U.S. and Canada, and providing technical support to our employees.

Lori Schott

President / Co-Owner

Lori Schott serves as Avery Resources's Director of Internal Operations. From Avery Resources's inception, Lori has served as an integral force in directing the business structure, employment practices, employee relations and marketing of the organization. Lori spent over 25 years as a faculty member in higher education where she worked successfully in the area of agriculture marketing and international business development in the beef industry.

David Gaines

Senior Vice President of Operations

David retired from Northern Natural Gas as the Director of Engineering and Construction with 33 years of experience in both operations and construction of natural gas facilities. David's most recent project accomplishments were a multi-year expansion (Northern Lights) of the company's market in Iowa, Nebraska and Minnesota, and a Redfield, Iowa underground storage facility expansion completed in 2008. David joined our organization in the first quarter of 2012.

Craig Lietha, CPA

Vice President of Finance

Craig Lietha is Avery Technical Resources, Inc.'s (ATR) Vice President of Finance. Mr. Lietha is responsible for managing ATR's financial and accounting functions. He comes to TR with over 15 years of construction related accounting experience. He has worked in public accounting for several years with an emphasis on the construction industry. He most recently worked for a large specialty contracting firm with over $200 million in revenue and offices throughout the upper Midwest (as the project management analyst). Mr. Lietha earned Bachelor of Science degree in accounting at St. Cloud State University and is a CPA.

Caleb Weddle

Quality and Compliance Manager

Caleb joined the ATR team in 2017. Caleb is a Chemical Engineer who graduated from the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a technical emphasis in Petroleum Engineering. Caleb worked as a Field Engineer on Enbridge Energy’s Line 78. He went on to become a Project Engineer/Estimator for Simon Contractors, a heavy civil contractor in road and bridge construction. Caleb is based in our Sterling, CO office and his duties include managing inspector training and evaluations.
